Purpose of the policy

This policy describes how THEV Industrie Inc. (hereinafter “we” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information collected in the course of its activities, in accordance with the Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information (Bill 25).

Collection of personal information

We collect personal information in the course of our business, including:

  • when you visit our website https://www.thev.ca (hereinafter “website”) or interact with us online (forms, social media);
  • when you communicate with us by phone, email, or in person;

Internal access

Access to personal information is limited to employees and agents whose duties require it, such as members of management, administration, sales, or human resources. This information may appear on certain production documents (e.g., manufacturing orders) for internal purposes; it is not disclosed to unauthorized third parties.

Employees with access to personal information receive internal training on the principles of confidentiality and data security.

Retention and destruction of information

Personal information is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Unsuccessful applications or unsolicited applications will be kept for a maximum period of 12 months from the date of receipt, unless otherwise agreed.

At the end of the retention period, the information is securely deleted or destroyed in accordance with our internal policy.

Security and privacy incidents

We have implemented reasonable administrative, physical, contractual, and technological measures to protect the personal information in our custody and control from theft and loss, as well as from unauthorized access, use, modification, and disclosure.

In the event of a privacy incident posing a serious risk of harm, we will immediately notify the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (CAI) and the individuals concerned.

An internal incident log is maintained and kept for five (5) years.

All employees have been made aware of the importance of protecting personal information and preventing confidentiality breaches.

Consent

Your consent may be explicit or implied. By using our website or providing us with your personal information, you consent to:

  • All terms and conditions included in this privacy policy;
  • The collection, use, and storage of data listed in this privacy policy.

Rights of data subjects

Every individual has the right, to the extent provided by law, to access personal information held by us in order to:

  • request their correction, deletion, or updating;
