This Montreal “shoebox” was renovated and expanded for a couple who are passionate about art & architecture.

Several steel and aluminum elements were custom-made to meet onsite requirements: a staircase to access the roof, garden beds for a terrace, discreet handles for a refrigerator and dishwasher, integrated shelves for the kitchen, as well as rounded shelves and support hardware for the bathrooms.

We also designed a retractable mechanism to cover a water basin on the terrace that combined ingenuity and functionality.

Steel elements were discreetly integrated, blending harmoniously with black and white contrasts for a light box effect.
