Project

Designed to commemorate police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, this project involved the creation of a meaningful, lasting work meant to integrate into its environment.

The tree was fashioned from corten steel, a living and evolving material, chosen for its strength and natural fit with the surroundings. Each leaf cut from stainless steel reflects light throughout the day and represents a police officer killed in the line of duty.

A sentinel stands guard near the tree alongside a commemorative plaque.

The whole is evocative of safety, strength and stability within a peaceful setting.
